PATIENT SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COVID-19 EPIDEMIC OUTBREAK - VERSION 1.1 (Published 30 March 2020)
As we face the challenge of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic we need to apply what we have learnt so far, and what we continue to learn. The Italian Network for Safety in Healthcare (INSH) has compiled key lessons they have learnt in the pandemic in Italy. These are practical front line messages, devoid of the complexity of guidelines. They are a work in progress, a symbol of continual learning and improvement. We will be updating these continually and welcome suggestions and learning from your own experience. As we move from patient-centered care toward people-centred care we need to remember that we are here to protect the providers of care as well as the patients who need our care at this time.
Please send any comments and suggestions to Riccardo Tartaglia (firstname.lastname@example.org), INSH President or Peter Lachman (email@example.com), ISQua CEO.
