28th International Congress of Pediatrics - IPA 2016 (August 17-22, 2016)

PIPSQC is pleased to share that the International Pediatric Association (IPA) with its 168 member organizations, will be hosting the 28th International Congress of Pediatrics in Vancouver, British Columbia, August 17-22, 2016.

All are invited to be part of this global gathering focused on improving the health of children and youth around the world.


OVERVIEW:

The conference theme of "Community, Diversity, Vitality" reflects both the host city and the scope of the scientific program.

The 
program has been designed to meet the needs of pediatricians around the world, and addresses the current and emerging issues impacting the health of children and adolescents, aiming to improve their future health, especially the most vulnerable.

The program offers a series of 9 plenary sessions that cover a wide range of important topics:
- Mental Health
- Environmental Health
- Non Communicable Diseases
- Adverse Events, Toxic Stress and the Brain
- Equity and Health
- Communication Technologies and Health
- Most Influential Articles that May Change Your Practice
- Child Health - Now and in the Future
- The Promise of Global Adolescent Health

There are more than 50 symposiums divided into four streams - addressing updates and challenges in prevention, innovation, media and technologies, and global health.

Participants also have a choice of more than 25 "Meet the Experts" sessions, covering a range of health problems and diseases.

For those who want to attend in-depth sessions on a specific topic, there are 12 pre-conference workshops - including
"In the Best Interests of the Child: Improving Paediatric Quality of Care in Low Resource Settings."
